The Show

Folk Archive is a vibrant, visual account of contemporary folk art and creativity in the UK organised by Alan Kane and Jeremy Deller.
Celebrating folk art's dynamic and influential role in British society, the exhibition features an astonishing range of work, from
needlework to a mechanical elephant, as well as documentation of events, drawings and paintings, many
with a narrative or commemorative element.
Surprising and revealing, Folk Archive offers a truly alternative view of our culture.
The exhibition is accompanied by a full-colour publication by Alan Kane and Jeremy Deller
with an essay by Jeremy Millar, edited by Bruce Haines and published by Book Works.
